Describe Yourself:
I got laid off in 2007 and it was the best thing that's happened to me since my husband asked for a divorce! Now I am free of the corporate rat race, free to pursue the activities I love. I spent the summer through Christmas selling my craft items at craft fairs and I will be doing more of them in the spring. I might have to go back to work part time, but if I am very careful (difficult after having money to spend), I won't ever have to dedicate a large portion of my life to making money for someone else. I also get to spend more time writing now. Belonging to Gather has encouraged me in that respect. I moved back to Michigan in 2006 (after an absence of 37 years) because my mother had a stroke. She is in a nursing home, but my siblings and I see to it that she has visitors every day. I have a 24-year-old son (Nathan) back in Houston (whom I miss very much).
